I’m thrilled to share that the feature animated film I worked on as Director of Animation has been released!
Little Richard the Shark (Ricardito lo Squalo), written and directed by Evelyn Bruges and Marco Pollini of Ahora! Films, is a touching and inclusive story that brings an important message to life.
Ceck out the trailer!
About the Film
Little Richard (Ricardito) is a parrotfish living in a coral reef with his seaweed-nibbling parents and 23 siblings. Born with an unusual dorsal fin that, when held straight, resembles a shark’s, he dreams of becoming one. However, he faces constant ridicule at home and bullying at school. One day, he decides to leave the reef and venture into the deep ocean, embarking on a journey of self-discovery. Along the way, he learns about the impact of pollution and the true importance of his species.
Bringing the Story to Life
For the animation, I chose Moho due for its powerful 2D rigging capabilities and intuitive approach. It proved to be an excellent fit for the project given the ambitious production schedule.
